PROCEDURE NURSE JOB DESCRIPTION
Qualifications: Experienced RN or LVN; successful completion of an accredited nursing program. College degree; current licensure in the State of California as a registered nurse or licensed vocational nurse; progressive work experience in an acute care hospital of no less than one year, which reflects both clinical and management skills; current BLS certification; current ACLS certification
Work Expectations:
Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to interface with ART team, Primary Physician, and Supervisor

Part time (20-30hrs)

Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Adhere to HRC Policies & Procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Assist physician with office procedures.
- Diagnostic and monitoring ultrasounds
- Diagnostic procedures
- Retrievals
- Transfers
- Maintain cleanliness throughout facility
- Setup equipment/room
- Set-up for procedures
- Clean and re-set up for next procedure
- Perform procedures.
- Venipuncture
- Start IVs (licensed/certified personnel) and management of IV therapy
- Administer medications (licensed/certified personnel); if not licensed, physician or licensed nurse to push medications (LVN’s PO/IM only)
- Maintenance of patient/couple medical records, including consents and authorizations (procedures not to be performed unless there are signed consents in the patient’s clinical chart)
- RN’s Recover (coordinate recovery) patients as per HRC Policies and Procedures.
- RN’s Discharge (coordinate discharge with patient’s nursing team) patient with instructions. Patient must understand both verbal and written instructions.
- Responsible for stocking, cleaning rooms. Advise MA when supplies are low
- Adheres to pre-arranged work schedule including scheduled early cases
Secondary Responsibilities
- Assist physician in providing informative and effective communication with patient/couples.
- Confirm that patient/couples have appropriate medications/prescriptions.
- File lab results, after reviewed and signed-off by physician, in patient’s chart.
- Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
