Position Overview
Better Direct AI is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our Services Team onsite in Tempe, AZ. This role focuses on UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) system installations, removals, and electrical support for client projects. The Electrician will work closely with the Services Team and may travel with them to client sites for installations and decommissioning projects. This role can be structured as a contractor, as-needed, or bench staff position to provide flexible support based on project demand.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Maintenance
· Install, remove, and maintain UPS systems and associated electrical infrastructure for client sites.
· Perform electrical wiring, panel modifications, circuit testing, and grounding in accordance with safety and code standards.
· Conduct site assessments to ensure proper power supply and infrastructure readiness for installations.
· Troubleshoot electrical issues related to UPS and supporting systems and implement corrective actions.
Project & Field Support
· Travel with the Services Team to perform on-site UPS installations, relocations, or removals.
· Coordinate with project managers and technicians to ensure efficient deployment and installation of equipment.
· Assist with staging, unpacking, and preparation of equipment prior to installation.
· Support post-installation testing and verification to ensure full operational functionality.
Safety & Compliance
· Follow strict adherence to electrical codes (NEC) and company safety standards.
· Maintain proper documentation of electrical work, test results, and installation notes.
· Identify and report potential safety hazards or risks at client sites.
Cross-functional Collaboration
· Work with Project Managers, AV technicians, and Services Team members to support complex installations.
· Provide technical input for project planning and resource allocation.
· Assist in evaluating site readiness for future UPS or electrical infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
· Journeyman or Master Electrician certification preferred; or equivalent proven experience.
· 3+ years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical work, preferably including UPS or critical power systems.
· Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, grounding, breakers, and panels.
· Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
· Comfortable traveling with a services team to client sites as required.
· Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment safely and work in varied environments.
· Experience as a contractor, as-needed staff, or bench electrician is acceptable.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Effective communication and team collaboration skills.

$90 -100/hour (Depends on experience), for a special project, hotel, and flights are paid for
