Avo Photonics is a dynamic contract engineering services company that designs, develops and manufactures custom opto-electronic products for a large customer base. Members of our staff have the opportunity to design, prototype and produce next generation products for a diverse range of markets including environmental, medical, military, industrial, aerospace, and communications.
We seek a diligent, dedicated and meticulous person who will help to further our success and reputation in the industry through world-class customer service. The successful candidate must plan his/her own work schedule, keep multiple records, be self-motivated, maintain a professional presence, and have the desire to take ownership of projects.
Specifically:
- Monitor and maintain operation of facility systems including HVAC/Mechanical, Compressed Air, Industrial Gases, Electrical, and Plumbing.
- Perform daily environmental checks to ensure proper cooling, humidification and to monitor electrical power consumption.
- Perform preventive maintenance on compressors, chillers, and humidifiers.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of fire extinguishers and first aid kits.
- Perform minor carpentry and painting to repair wear and tear to walls, doors, etc.
- Perform ESD flooring checks to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
- 5 years experience in facilities maintenance or a trade
- Associates degree in a technical field is preferred
- Experience with HVAC and minor plumbing in an industrial environment
- Familiar with safe operation of hand and power tools
- Ability to work safely at height on ladders and lift
- Ability to safely lift heavy loads with experience to select the appropriate lifting/moving equipment
- Ability to communicate in English clearly and concisely
