Lone Star GlobalTech is a local technology company serving small businesses in Amarillo and surrounding areas. We provide managed IT services, Microsoft 365 support, cybersecurity, backups, phone systems, security cameras, low-voltage services, and on-site field support.
We are looking for a Field Business Development Representative to help us connect with local businesses, introduce our services, and schedule qualified technology assessments with business owners, office managers, and decision makers.
This is not a hard-closing sales role. You will not be expected to design technical solutions, quote complex IT projects, or close managed service contracts on your own. Your main responsibility is to create professional conversations, identify potential business needs, and help schedule qualified appointments for our internal team.
This is a contract role with a flexible schedule, hourly pay for approved field prospecting time, and additional bonus opportunities for qualified appointments and new client acquisitions.
Responsibilities
- Visit local businesses in person and introduce Lone Star GlobalTech professionally
- Speak with business owners, office managers, and decision makers
- Explain our services at a high level, including managed IT, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, backups, phone systems, cameras, and field support
- Identify businesses that may need better IT support, security, backup, phone, or camera solutions
- Schedule qualified appointments for a free technology review or consultation
- Track leads, conversations, follow-ups, and notes accurately
- Represent the company with professionalism, honesty, and a friendly attitude
- Follow approved scripts, messaging, and company guidelines
- Communicate regularly with the internal team about opportunities and follow-ups
What We Are Looking For
- Comfortable speaking with business owners and managers
- Professional appearance and strong communication skills
- Reliable transportation
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently
- Friendly, confident, and respectful approach to local businesses
- Ability to follow a simple sales process and document activity
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Previous sales, canvassing, customer service, appointment setting, or business development experience is helpful but not required
- Interest in technology, IT services, or business solutions is a plus
Compensation
- Contract position
- Flexible schedule
- Approximately 10–20 hours per week
- Hourly pay for approved field prospecting time
- Additional bonuses available for qualified appointments and closed new accounts
Important Notes
This role is focused on business development and appointment setting. You will help create opportunities, but technical assessments, pricing, proposals, and final contracts will be handled by the internal team.
