Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Outpatient Services to lead our outpatient behavioral health programs. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of mental health and behavioral care, with proven expertise in clinical supervision, program development, and team leadership. As the Director, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality outpatient services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, fostering a collaborative team environment, and promoting innovative approaches to patient care. Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for outpatient behavioral health programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise clinical teams, including therapists, case managers, and support staff, fostering professional development and maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols and treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, and motivational interviewing.
- Oversee intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning for diverse populations including children, adolescents, adults, and individuals with developmental or neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health records (EHR) systems while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
- Coordinate crisis management and crisis intervention efforts to support patients experiencing mental health or substance use crises.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions, family counseling, and individual psychotherapy while promoting a client-centered approach that respects cultural diversity.
- Monitor program outcomes through data collection and research initiatives to continuously improve service quality and efficacy.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with individuals with mental health conditions, co-occurring disorders, substance use disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and developmental disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for billing purposes, and familiarity with medical records management.
- Proven management skills including supervising clinical staff, managing budgets, and leading multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in crisis intervention techniques and crisis management strategies to ensure patient safety and effective response during emergencies.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as EMR/EHR management platforms; experience with data collection for research purposes is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills for client engagement, family collaboration, case management, and interdisciplinary team coordination.
- Knowledge of special education practices related to behavioral management in pediatric populations; experience working with children from diverse cultural backgrounds is preferred.
- Ability to apply clinical research findings to enhance treatment approaches; familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes is beneficial.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
