Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop Assistant Managers, Shift Leads, Budtenders, Drivers, and support staff.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and retain top talent.
- Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with managers and shift leads.
- Complete performance evaluations and development plans.
- Build and manage staffing schedules while maintaining appropriate labor costs.
- Address employee concerns and performance issues professionally.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Operations
- Oversee all daily dispensary operations.
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed accurately.
- Monitor sales, labor, inventory, compliance, and operational performance.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness, organization, and merchandising standards.
- Ensure pricing, promotions, digital menus, and product displays are accurate.
- Audit SOP compliance, cash handling, manifests, inventory, and receiving processes.
- Conduct routine operational audits and implement process improvements.
- Availability to be on call during all business hours.
Inventory & Purchasing
- Manage purchasing and inventory levels.
- Build strong relationships with vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, promotional support, and vendor credits.
- Monitor inventory accuracy, expiration reports, and product availability.
- Forecast inventory needs using sales trends and reporting.
- Maintain inventory accuracy above company standards.
Sales & Financial Performance
- Achieve monthly sales and profitability goals.
- Control payroll and operating expenses.
- Analyze sales, labor, and inventory reports to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop promotional calendars with ownership and vendor partners.
- Increase average transaction value, customer retention, and overall profitability.
- Review budgets, purchasing decisions, and financial performance regularly.
Marketing & Business Growth
- Execute promotional calendars and marketing initiatives.
- Coordinate vendor pop-ups, educational events, and product launches.
- Partner with the marketing team to ensure promotions are accurate across all platforms.
- Maintain attractive merchandising, displays, and digital menus.
- Analyze promotional performance and recommend new business growth strategies.
- Build relationships within the local community.
- Drive customer acquisition, loyalty, and retention.
- Maintain a strong online reputation by encouraging and responding to customer reviews.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and company regulations.
- Maintain accurate records in METRC and Flowhub.
- Prepare for regulatory inspections and audits.
- Ensure SOP compliance throughout the organization.
- Maintain employee compliance training and documentation.
- Oversee security procedures, incident reporting, recalls, and cash handling standards.
Qualifications Required
- 5+ years of retail management experience.
- 3+ years managing supervisors or department leaders.
- Proven experience hiring, coaching, developing, and leading teams.
- Experience managing payroll, labor, scheduling, and operational budgets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred
- Cannabis industry management experience.
- Experience with Flowhub, METRC, Dutchie, or similar cannabis software.
- Inventory management experience.
- P&L management experience.
- Multi-location retail management experience.

- Begin coaching managers and implementing operational improvements.
- Meet inventory accuracy and compliance expectations.
By 90 Days
- Fully own day-to-day operations.
- Meet sales, labor, inventory, and compliance goals.
- Demonstrate leadership that develops future managers.
- Operate the business confidently with minimal involvement from ownership.
