POSITION SUMMARY
The Town of Holly Springs is seeking a Part-Time HR Assistant to serve in the Human Resources department. The Part-Time Human Resources Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department by maintaining confidential employee records, organizing personnel files, special projects, and assisting with daily office operations. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, discretion when handling sensitive information, and the ability to perform a variety of administrative tasks in a professional office environment.
SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to the Assistant Human Resources Director. Works independently with general guidance from the Assistant Human Resources Director and the Human Resources Director to ensure coordination of objectives and priorities of the department. Incumbents have no supervisory responsibilities.
This position is a temporary part-time position, not to exceed more than 19 hours per week. The work schedule is business hours with occasional evenings and weekends. The starting salary is
$18.00 per hour.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- File, organize, and maintain confidential employee and personnel records in both physical and electronic filing systems.
- Scan, copy, print, and electronically archive HR documents while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Retrieve, update, and file HR documents as requested by Human Resources staff.
- Ensure all confidential records are stored securely and handled in compliance with applicable privacy laws and departmental procedures.
- Assist with document preparation, data entry, and general administrative support.
- Maintain office supplies and assist with routine clerical tasks.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma required, however some college/coursework in human resources or other business-related field is highly preferred.
- One (1) year of work experience in a professional setting.
