TITLE: Special Education Ed Tech III - Deering High
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Deering High School is seeking Special Education Ed Tech III's to support special education classes and students at Deering High School. The selected candidates would collaborate closely with a Special Education Teacher while working 1-on-1 and in small groups with students. The position also includes mainstream "push-in" in core content classes, art, health, and physical education. The selected candidates will also be part of a solid group of Ed Techs in the building.
** There are openings in our Resource, Breathe, Functional Life Skills, and Functional Academics classrooms. **
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Ability to manage data management systems, analyze, and synthesize data

Ability to support teaching and learning

Ability to manage and oversee school-wide testing procedures

Ability to interact with staff, students, parents, and others in an open, friendly, professional manner
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:

Approval as an Educational Technician III by the Maine Department of Education; in the alternative, Maine provisional or professional teacher certification
