In This Role You Will:
- Perform a variety of painting, varnishing and other functions to wood, metal, glass, stucco, masonry, cement, wallboard, and other surfaces throughout the community, that comply with intended use/function and within building codes and life safety standards.
- Paints walls, doors, rooms, buildings, parking lots, and other surfaces as required. Uses spray equipment, rollers, or brushes. Demonstrates courtesy and caution when assigned to paint in occupied resident units.
- Prepares surfaces (interior and exterior walls, wood and metalwork and fixtures) by scraping, using commercial paint removers and other methods as appropriate.
- Retrieves and performs work orders using the automated work order system and completes work orders within established time frames.
- Works with and/or assists other maintenance technicians and contractors, as needed.
- Makes repairs to worn and/or damaged surfaces.
- Erects and moves scaffolding and extension ladders.
- Paints signage, building identifiers, parking spaces, and other areas in accordance with community branding.
- Orders paint and supplies and equipment, maintains inventory, and tracks paint colors used in various areas within the community. Works within budgetary expectations.
- Ensures the clean, safe and orderly storage of equipment and supplies. Properly labels and stores paint, cleaning supplies, and other products. Uses the recommended personal protective equipment and safety equipment and obtains updated Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for any products utilized.
Shift Details:
- Fulltime- Monday- Friday 8a-4p, no weekends or holidays
Who You Are:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Two or more (2+) years of experience in professional painting and drywall patching
