Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant - Otolaryngology for our client in Oregon!
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical care in a dedicated outpatient setting, focusing primarily on Pediatric ENT and Pediatric Urology post-operative follow-up visits.
- Manage a steady clinical pace with an average patient volume of 14 patients per shift.
- Perform comprehensive clinical evaluations, accurate wound assessments, and suture removals.
- Diagnose and evaluate common outpatient conditions, including tonsil, adenoid, and otitis media issues.
- Document all patient interactions, care plans, and clinical data accurately within the facility’s EMR system.
- Maintain excellent communication and coordinate care within the outpatient facility to ensure seamless support for pediatric patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with specialized focus or training in Otolaryngology.
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible status.
- Active state medical license, or a willingness to obtain a license for this position (providers currently in the licensing process will be considered).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate.
- Prior experience with flexible endoscopy, nasal cautery, and foreign body removal is highly preferred.
Schedule
- Coverage Window: 08/31/2026 – 02/26/2027.
- Weekly Structure: Approximately 4 days per week (Scheduled clinical hours only; no call requirements).
- Distribution: 2.5 to 3 days a week covering the Pediatric ENT clinic, and 0.5 to 1 day a week covering Pediatric Urology post-op visits.
- Daily Shift Times: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Daily Routine: 8:00 AM – 8:30 AM (Administrative Time) | 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM (Patient Care) | 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM (Lunch) | 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM (Patient Care) | 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM (Administrative Time).

Skills
- Strong proficiency in diagnosing and treating common pediatric otolaryngology conditions.
- Technical or clinical expertise in performing wound care, suture removal, nasal cautery, and foreign body removal.
- Familiarity with and preference for utilizing flexible endoscopy equipment.
- Proven ability to manage time efficiently and maintain a consistent pace of 14 patient visits per shift.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills suited for a diverse pediatric patient population and their families.
- Strong organizational efficiency within structured administrative and clinical outpatient workflows.
