Essential Functions
- Keep records, logs, and schedules of the calls they make and/or receive, the vehicles and staff they monitor and control, and the actions they take.
- Maintain information on each call and then prepare a detailed report on all activities occurring during their shifts.
- Ensure on time delivery of cranes and equipment to job sites.
- Secure permits.
- Ensure company drivers maintain compliance with OSHA and safety regulations.
- Dispatcher will also assist in other activities and duties as assigned by Manager.
Skills and Experience Requirements
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work 40 hours a week and overtime as needed.
- Experienced in trucking and dispatch functions is preferred.
- Experience with cranes or other heavy construction equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of the permitting process for oversize loads and documentation is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and NexGen Software
- Able to sit for longs periods of time.
- Able to use phone, computer and other office equipment.
- Pay is commensurate upon experience.
