Under the supervision of the Unit Director or designee, the Unit Secretary assists in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities occurring in the nursing unit by performing clerical, receptionist, coordination duties and maintaining the physical environment of the area. Assist professional nursing staff by performing specific patient care tasks, within the scope of practice of a Nursing Assistant.
A. Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Current certification with the Texas Department of Nurse Aid Registry preferred.
B. Training and Experience:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart
Association upon hire or transfer to department.
- Complete the following competencies within 3 months of hire or
transfer from another department.

- Maintain confidentiality and respect for patients’ rights and privacy at all times.

Schedule: Full Time, Day Shift, 5:30am - 2:00pm
