Field Sales Representative — Munka (Jersey City / Hoboken)
About Munka
Munka is a fast-growing on-demand staffing platform connecting local businesses with vetted shift workers: same day, booked in minutes. We're building the fastest way to fill a last-minute callout, and we're expanding our sales team to grow our business customer base across Jersey City, Hoboken, and surrounding areas.
The Role
We're looking for a motivated, outgoing Field Sales Representative to visit local restaurants, warehouses, and small businesses in person: introducing Munka, starting conversations with owners and managers, and booking demo appointments or sign-ups on the spot.
This is a street-level, face-to-face role. You'll be walking into businesses, asking for the right person, and making a confident, concise pitch. If you're comfortable talking to strangers, enjoy being out in the field rather than behind a desk, and want to be part of a company at an early and exciting stage: this is a great fit.
What You'll Do
- Visit local businesses in designated territories (restaurants, bars, cafes, warehouses, logistics operations)
- Introduce Munka to owners, general managers, and operators
- Deliver a short, compelling pitch focused on last-minute shift coverage
- Book demo appointments or walk prospects through a live sign-up on the spot
- Log visit outcomes and contact information in our CRM
- Follow up with warm prospects by phone or email
- Represent Munka professionally in every interaction
What We're Looking For
- Comfortable walking into businesses cold and asking to speak with a decision maker
- Strong verbal communication skills: clear, confident, and concise
- Persistent without being pushy: you know how to read a room
- Reliable, self-directed, and able to manage your own time in the field
- Smartphone required (you'll be demonstrating a mobile app)
- Prior experience in sales, hospitality, delivery, or customer-facing roles is a plus: but not required
- Fluency in English required; bilingual candidates (Spanish, or other languages) strongly encouraged to apply

Compensation
- Base pay + commission
- Flexible scheduling: part-time and full-time availability considered
