About Us
The Pride Center at Equality Park is a vibrant LGBTQ+ community center located in Wilton Manors, Florida. Our Wellness at The Center department is home to a wide range of health and wellness programs open to anyone who walks through our doors, with staff trained to serve the unique needs of LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies. Our new Sexual Health Clinic, opening in July, is one of the most exciting additions to our growing portfolio of services.
This is front-line, community-facing work. If you're the kind of person who builds rapport and trust quickly, communicates confidently and openly about sexual health without flinching, and finds purpose in making sure no one falls through the cracks of complicated healthcare systems, we want to learn more about you!
About the Role
The Senior Wellness Navigator is the full-time cornerstone of our sexual health navigation team. While part-time Wellness Navigators support specific shifts and caseloads, the Senior Navigator brings continuity across navigator shifts, maintains awareness of program performance, and ensures critical client needs do not fall through the cracks when coverage transitions occur.
This position combines direct client services (HIV/STI testing, PrEP/PEP navigation, benefits assistance, outreach) with a higher-level responsibility for tracking how the team is doing against program goals and reporting field-level challenges and data gaps back to the Manager of Clinic Operations & Wellness Services.
Anticipated Start Date: July 1, 2026
What You Will Do
- Provide rapid HIV testing and conduct STI screening in clinic and in community-based settings in accordance with established protocols.
- Deliver pre- and post-test counseling, including risk assessment, prevention education, and evaluation for PrEP, PEP, and other services.
- Facilitate timely linkage to care — scheduling appointments, coordinating lab services, and ensuring follow-through.
- Navigate clients through PrEP and PEP enrollment, initiation, and linkage to ongoing clinical services.
- Assist clients with insurance navigation, medication assistance programs, and other access barriers.
- Conduct targeted outreach in community settings — including bars and other nontraditional venues — and participate in events to engage individuals in testing and prevention services.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners and venues to support outreach and engagement initiatives.
- Provide culturally responsive education on HIV/STIs, sexual health, harm reduction, and available services.
- Step in to complete active client tasks when part-time staff shifts end, ensuring continuity of care across the team.
- Monitor program KPIs and flag to the Manager when the team is trending off target, identifying field-level barriers or gaps in data collection contributing to any shortfall.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation of all services and client interactions in accordance with program and compliance requirements.
- Support data collection, reconciliation, and reporting as needed to ensure accurate program records.
- Collaborate with clinical staff, outreach teams, and program leadership to support seamless client flow and continuity of care.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, event preparation, and ongoing program development as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of organizational and programmatic needs.
