We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Deli Kitchen Assistant to join our team and help create a welcoming and delicious shopping experience for our customers. In this role, you’ll be the face of our deli section, preparing fresh deli items, assisting customers, and ensuring the workspace stays clean and organized. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about make high quality food. Weekends Required, hiring two positions, hours similar to: 7:30a - 3p & 1p - 8:30p
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble deli products such as sandwiches, salads, soups, entrees, sides, and more according to established standards.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) system to process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, when needed.
- Assist customers with their food purchases, answer questions about products, and upsell items to enhance their shopping experience.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace, including food preparation areas, display cases, and equipment.
- Restock deli items regularly to ensure freshness and availability for customers.
- Follow all food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment.
- Other duties as assigned to keep smooth store operations
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service is highly preferred, especially in quick service or fast food environments.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours.
- A background in the food industry or restaurant experience will give you an edge in understanding food safety practices and sanitation standards.
- Experience in customer service roles will help you succeed in this position.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
