- Job Summary: The Community Engagement Program Manager will lead initiatives that foster partnerships between businesses, community organizations, public agencies, and families to promote early childhood development and family well-being. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in business engagement, partnership development, account management, employer outreach, or external relations who excel at building relationships, managing stakeholders, and driving program growth. The manager will serve as a strategic connector and collaborator, leveraging transferable strengths in outreach, stakeholder management, and program development to create meaningful community impact.
- Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Family Friendly Workplace Program, focusing on business engagement, application processes, program quality, and strategic expansion. Serve as the primary liaison among employers, community partners, and cross-sector networks to promote family-friendly workplace practices and early childhood initiatives. Develop and nurture partnerships with businesses, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies to increase program participation and community impact. Design and analyze workplace surveys; consult with employers on enhancing employee support systems, retention strategies, and family-friendly benefits. Recruit new partners through outreach efforts; maintain ongoing relationships with existing stakeholders to support collaborative initiatives. Plan and execute recognition events, awards ceremonies, networking opportunities, and promotional campaigns that showcase employer success stories. Create and update resources such as toolkits, educational materials, and outreach content to support partner engagement. Coordinate community workgroups and support the development of new initiatives aligned with emerging needs. Track program performance using data collection and evaluation methods; communicate results to stakeholders to demonstrate community impact. Support community events, family engagement activities, pilot projects, and other initiatives that align with organizational goals.
- Qualifications: A relationship-driven professional with strong skills in stakeholder management, outreach, partnership building, and program development. Excellent communication and organizational abilities are essential. Experience in long-term systems change combined with the ability to implement short-term solutions is highly valued. A proactive approach to using data for decision-making while maintaining a focus on relationship-building is preferred.
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, nonprofit management, public administration, human services, early childhood education, community development or related fields. Experience in business engagement, partnership development, account management, employer outreach or external relations within community settings. Proven success in facilitating meetings, leading collaborative efforts across sectors, managing stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Working Conditions: Combination of office work, community engagement activities, and event participation. Regular attendance at community meetings; occasional evening or early morning engagements. Local travel throughout the Lincoln area required. Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners.
