Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and precision
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and special dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently, handling all sales transactions with accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and assisting with food handling as needed
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings, spirits, and menu options to elevate the guest experience
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly
- Support guest relations by addressing inquiries professionally and ensuring a welcoming environment for all patrons
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is required; fine dining experience is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is essential for processing orders and transactions smoothly
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that fosters guest loyalty
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for billing purposes and cash handling responsibilities
- Knowledge of open table reservations systems like OpenTable is a plus for managing guest seating efficiently
