Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper setup of the line
- Ensure food is prepared quickly, correctly, and consistently
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Handle prep tasks such as chopping, portioning, labeling, and storing ingredients
- Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries
- Communicate with servers, bar, and expo for smooth service flow
- Follow opening, closing, and side-work checklists
- Maintain proper food handling, labeling, and rotation (FIFO)
- Work as part of a team to maintain a clean, efficient kitchen
Qualifications
- Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred (will train the right person)
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, team-oriented work ethic
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Able to lift 25–50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
