Responsibilities
- Be able to operate heavy equipment well enough to load and unload from trailer.
- Be able to tie/chain down loads correctly - i.e. 6 point / 4 point .
- Ensure proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving in various weather conditions.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate with dispatch regarding any issues or delays.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and customer satisfaction.
- No day is the same. Be comfortable changing on the fly.
- Report to the fleet manager.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A license required
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with pulling equipment.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Familiarity with various trailer types
- Familiarity with loading and strapping down equipment a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $38.00 per hour
