Job Overview:
We are seeking a capable and highly effective candidate to administer all inventory, shipping and receiving operations at our company. This position reports directly to the General Manager and requires a self-starting individual who prides themselves at being the best they can be when challenged with new opportunities.
The Inventory and Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all incoming inventory and outgoing shipment operations. This involves inventory control assistance using the ERP system, proper inventory organization, labeling according to government contract requirements, international shipping label creation, executing proper packing methods, and managing the accurate and efficient flow of incoming and outgoing shipments. In addition to executing on best practices in these areas, a focus on the continuous improvement of quality and efficiency in the inventory, shipping and receiving workflow is also expected.
The right candidate needs to be organized, hardworking and motivated while understanding the difference between going through the motions and focusing their efforts on the optimal tasks to yield a desired outcome. Hence, we are seeking someone who can think strategically, exercise common sense, prioritize their work and choose the most appropriate steps to accomplish each goal regardless of whether the steps are simple or highly complex. This role carries a great deal of responsibility since the company depends on it to function at its best.
Job Functions & Responsibilities:
· Manage incoming shipments, unbox and remove of packaging waste
· Inspect incoming inventory and record quantity in ERP system
· Coordinate and maintain schedules and prepare facility for deliveries ranging from individual boxes to international freight shipments
· Follow proper picking and packaging procedures in ERP system
· Plan delivery unloading procedures and assist as needed
· Maintain clean, organized and safe work environment
· Track shipping supplies and ensure all necessary materials are stocked as needed
· Pack product according to industry best practices and custom packing requirements as provided by work instructions
· Identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency in the shipping and receiving processes
· Generate shipping documents, bills of lading and tracking information
· Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks
· Store received materials and products in proper warehouse locations once inspected
Qualifications and Experience:
Candidates must have a minimum of the following qualifications and experience to be considered:
· English Fluent
· High School diploma / GED
· Intermediate level of proficiency with PC – Windows and MS-Office
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work on your feet for extended periods
· A proven track record of results improvement and delivery
· Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot objectively under pressure
Additional qualifications that are beneficial but not mandatory:
· 3+ years of employment in a fast-paced, small business work environment
· 1+ years of shipping or warehouse experience
· Forklift experience
· Experience with ERP or MRP systems is beneficial but not mandatory
Work Schedule: Full time position, Monday-Friday
Location: Blountville, TN
Compensation: Dependent on experience, minimum $20/hr
Pay: $41,600.00 - $65,000.00 per year
