Small animal general practice seeking career Veterinary Assistant (Veterinary Technician Assistant). Full Time position available for an experienced Assistant. The candidate should be warm, friendly, upbeat, organized and reliable and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Typical Veterinary Assistant duties include but not limited to: perform routine laboratory tests such as bloodwork, fecal and urine, assisting other staff and Veterinarians as directed, ability to educate clients on general animal husbandry and answer non-medical questions. Must be comfortable in using computers. Must express genuine liking for animals and pet parents. This is an IN-OFFICE position.

We are a dog and cat only, privately owned veterinary practice on the south shore of Long Island. Small staff office family consists of three Doctors and 10 support staff. We strive to give our employees a comfortable work/life balance. Feel appreciated where you work!
Work schedule would include Saturdays (8:30am-1pm) and some late nights (ending 7:30pm).
