The Accounting/Payroll Clerk supports daily accounting and payroll operations with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. This role focuses on payroll execution, assists with accounts payable/receivable, maintains financial records, and supports general ledger and reporting activities. The position requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

Process weekly payroll on a consistent schedule.

Maintain and update employee payroll records (wages, deductions, benefits, tax information).

Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions accurately.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.

Prepare, review, and maintain payroll reports.

Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Coordinate onboarding/offboarding payroll-related tasks.

Support HR with administrative duties as assigned.

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.

Enter and reconcile financial transactions in accounting systems.

Maintain accurate and organized financial and vendor records.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.

Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.

Support internal and external audit processes and documentation requests.

Assist with expense reporting and credit card reconciliations.

Perform other accounting administrative duties as assigned.

Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

1-3 years of experience in payroll and/or accounting support.

Experience with payroll systems (ADP preferred).

Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.

Strong understanding of payroll processes and basic accounting principles.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
