FFeast & Fettle is hiring a Packout Manager to support our Culinary Operations team in East Elkridge, MD.
This is a leadership role responsible for driving performance, fostering a culture of career path development for hourly and salaried associates, and ensuring operational excellence in a large-scale food manufacturing environment. To start, the schedule will be from Thursday to Monday from 6am to 2pm.

What will the Position do?
The Packout Manager will oversee all aspects of the packing processes within our food manufacturing facility. This role ensures that products are packed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards. The Packout Manager will lead a team of supervisors and associates, optimize workflows, and maintain a focus on continuous improvement, across multiple shifts.

Team Leadership:
- Supervise, develop and train packing staff to ensure effective performance and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Operational Management:
- Oversee the packing operations, as a whole, to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
- Collaborate with the R&D, Procurement, Production, Fulfillment and FSQA to maintain clear communication for all product flow.
- Collaborate with the Planning Manager to develop and implement packing schedules, new product launches and processes to maximize efficiency.
- Accountable for On Time in Full and Waste Metrics, to ensure we are delivering fully and truly.
Quality Control & Food Safety:
- Ensure that all packed products meet quality standards and specifications, on a consistent basis.
- Monitor packing processes and address any issues related to product integrity and food safety.
Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with inventory control to manage packaging materials and supplies.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and minimize waste.
Continuous Improvement:
- Collaborate with Process Engineering, R&D and Procurement to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in packing operations.
- Analyze performance metrics and develop action plans for improvement.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety within the packout team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a food manufacturing or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of packing processes, food safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
