Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a home setting. This role involves delivering personalized assistance to individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with disabilities, or individuals recovering from illness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in home health care, excellent observational skills, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for clients through attentive and respectful caregiving. This position offers six-hour shifts designed to promote consistency and work-life balance while ensuring comprehensive support for our clients’ health and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor and observe patient conditions, including vital signs, behavioral changes, and overall health status.
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions and document medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to update patient information efficiently and securely.
- Support patients with medical procedures such as catheter care, Hoyer lift transfers, and hospice or dementia-related care.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and assist with meal planning and preparation.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment for clients.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care across home & community settings while adhering to medical terminology standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in home health or long-term care environments with familiarity in assisted living or nursing home settings.
- Strong patient observation skills coupled with the ability to recognize changes in condition promptly.
- Knowledge of medical documentation practices, HIPAA compliance, and electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems.
- Competence in assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and specialized care such as Alzheimer’s or dementia care.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring memory care support.
- Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications such as hospice care or working with individuals with disabilities are advantageous.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
