Housing Initiatives operates at the leading edge of providing housing and support to some of the most vulnerable people in Madison and Dane County, those who have experienced homelessness and serious mental conditions. As both a property owner and a support provider, the work presents challenges and rewards that are unlike those of any typical housing or service business. The organization maintains a large and diverse portfolio of properties, and is currently starting the new construction of a new purpose-built housing facility.
This Systems and Operations Lead position works at the intersection of property management, maintenance, and supportive services. This position will work half in the office, half in the field. This person will devise and manage processes to ensure the smooth maintenance and operation of 33+ properties in Madison. Also needed are project management and supervision skills to provide for both maintenance and systems operation & improvement. Strong computer and data management skills are a must.
The person in this position will also work closely with property management and supportive services staff to assist with unit inspections and critical incident responses. The position offers incredible opportunities for creative organization, small & large project management, system-level thinking, and direct contact with clients. It is particularly well-suited to someone who wants time both in the office and in the field, with real opportunities to make a difference for people who are rebuilding their lives after homelessness.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
