We are expanding into Elmhurst and are seeking an exceptional optometrist who is passionate about practicing full-scope medical optometry.

What You'll Practice
Our doctors provide comprehensive medical eye care including:
- Dry Eye Disease diagnosis and treatment
- Glaucoma diagnosis and management
- Diabetic eye disease
- Hypertensive retinopathy
- Macular degeneration
- Cataract evaluation and co-management
- Retinal disease management
- Ocular surface disease
- Emergency eye care
- Myopia management
- Specialty contact lenses including scleral lenses, keratoconus, post-surgical, irregular corneas, and orthokeratology
You'll work with advanced diagnostic technology including OCT, ultra-widefield retinal imaging, visual fields, corneal topography, meibography, anterior segment imaging, and dry eye diagnostics.
What You'll Do
- Perform comprehensive medical and routine eye examinations
- Diagnose and manage ocular disease using evidence-based treatment plans
- Fit specialty contact lenses and myopia management patients
- Interpret advanced diagnostic testing
- Develop individualized treatment and follow-up plans
- Educate patients regarding their ocular health and treatment options
- Collaborate closely with highly trained technicians, opticians, and support staff
- Utilize EMR for accurate documentation, coding, and billing
- Participate in continuing education and clinical development
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for an optometrist who is:
- Passionate about medical optometry
- Interested in specialty contact lenses (experience preferred but mentorship available)
- Patient-centered with excellent communication skills
- Clinically thorough and detail-oriented
- Comfortable diagnosing and managing ocular disease
- Excited to continue learning and expanding clinical skills
- A collaborative team player who enjoys working in a private practice environment
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD)
- Illinois Optometry License (or eligible)
- Experience in private practice or medical optometry preferred
- Experience with specialty contact lenses is a plus
- Strong documentation, coding, and EMR skills
