Responsibilities
- Safely operate passenger vehicles adhering to all traffic laws and vehicle codes.
- Provide courteous, professional customer service to members, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout transit.
- Follow emergency response procedures for transportation incidents.
- Assist members with boarding and disembarking, including physical support as needed.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, client information and incident reports to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Communicate effectively with staff and clients to coordinate schedules and respond quickly to traffic changes or route adjustments.
Requirements
- Valid New Jersey driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in 14 passenger bus driving.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, defensive driving techniques, emergency response procedures for transportation, and rules of the road.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with transporting clients.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities in Russian or Spanish are highly desirable to serve diverse client populations.
- Experience working with seniors.
