Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, diesel engines, and other vehicle systems with precision and efficiency.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machinery to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Service vehicles by replacing parts, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) are calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems effectively.
- Assist with auto estimating processes by assessing repair needs and providing accurate time estimates for service jobs.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly, answering questions thoroughly, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or service technician experience working with GM vehicles or similar brands.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive repair disciplines including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engine repair.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools, schematics interpretation, ADAS calibration, wheel alignment equipment, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, service procedures for auto estimating, welding techniques, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Prior experience working on complex automotive repairs involving diesel engines or advanced electronic systems is highly desirable.
