Overview
Real Billings FC is a competitive youth soccer club built focused on long-term player development and affordability. Since its start 9 years ago, it has grown to the largest and most successful youth club in Montana. We have a dynamic board and are planning some exciting projects to improve our club and the opportunities we provide for young players. We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Technical Director to oversee our programs, to develop a top-to-bottom player development model (including a player development model and session plans for coaches), and to lead our continuing development and innovation in youth sports programming. Duties
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of a youth player development model and training curriculum.
- Provide input into organizational structure and hiring to accomplish club objectives and provide programs.
- Schedule, attend, and lead player evaluations and form teams based on player evaluations according to club policies.
- Oversee programs—winter futsal, player camps, academy small-sided league, competitive training, tournaments—and employees and volunteers to provide programs.
- Identify, recruit, train, and manage coaches for all levels of play.
- Attend board meetings to report information to the board and provide input on board decisions.
- Meet with potential sponsors, donors, and other stakeholders in the community to secure support and funding.
- Work closely with the President and registrar to ensure proper registration of players, purchasing of kits and other equipment.
- Provide conflict resolution for parents and players as necessary.
- Develop and maintain relationships with other clubs in the state and region, including scheduling friendlies, club days, and cooperating to provide guest players.
- Fill in to coach teams as needed.
- Communicate with stakeholders and act as the face of the club to stakeholders and the community.
- Promote the growth of soccer within the community.
Qualifications
- USSF A-license.
- USSF Grassroots Instructor license strongly preferred.
- 5 years as a coaching director of a youth soccer club or other similar experience managing a soccer program.
- Proven track record of fundraising.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing cross-functional teams; excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement at all levels.
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues quickly while developing innovative solutions that align with organizational goals.
- Experience overseeing large soccer tournaments and overseeing and deploying large teams of volunteers.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage budgets effectively while prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
