Nursing Assistant Job Description
Midwest Dermatology Clinic is seeking a dependable and compassionate Medical Assistant or CNA to join our team. This role is essential in helping deliver high-quality dermatologic care while creating a welcoming, supportive experience for our patients. What You’ll Do
- Greet and room patients while obtaining medical history and assessing patient needs.
- Assist physicians with dermatologic treatments and outpatient surgical procedures.
- Prepare patients and equipment for procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, and injections
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, and pre- and post-procedure care.
- Accurately document patient care in the medical record.
- Return patient phone calls or portal messages related to treatment questions.
- Maintain clean, organized exam and procedure rooms.
- Support team operations and assist with training new staff when needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) certification preferred.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to stay organized and multitask in a busy clinic setting.
- Ability to be on your feet for most of the workday (8–10 hours).
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Medical Assistant (MA) certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required).
- Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in dermatology or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with patients.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Knowledge of dermatology procedures and medical terminology is a plus.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required).
