About Us
We are a progressive, multi-concept restaurant group based in Fargo, ND, operating a
portfolio of successful local and national brands. Our proprietary brand is Rocky's
Burgers, Franks, & Fries-a small but rapidly growing regional fast-casual concept. We
currently operate two successful Rocky's locations and are gearing up to open our third
restaurant this September, with aggressive plans to expand statewide across North
Dakota.
At Rocky's, we pride ourselves on an elevated fast-casual experience, serving fresh,
never-frozen steakburgers, loaded hot dogs made with premium all-beef franks, fresh-
cut fries, home-made chili, hand-spun milkshakes, and more. We offer comfortable
dining rooms, quick drive-thrus, online ordering, and third-party delivery.
In addition to Rocky's, our group operates two very successful national franchise brands
within North Dakota (one with 2 locations and the other with 3 locations).
Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Marketing and Brand Manager to join and grow
with our company. You will spearhead Rocky's marketing strategy, marketing calendars,
and manage budgets. In this role, you will be a driving force behind the growth of
Rocky's Burgers, Franks & Fries as we scale from 2 locations to a statewide household
name. Additionally, you will take ownership of the local store marketing (LSM) budgets
for our 5 national franchise locations.
Because we believe our food is our best advertisement, you will be involved in menu
innovation for Rocky, collaborating closely with operations to help develop and launch
exciting new culinary offerings. You will lead our internal creative direction while
partnering with our outside advertising agency, which handles media placement.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Calendar & Budget Management: Develop, implement, and manage a
comprehensive annual marketing calendar. Allocate and oversee the corporate
marketing budget for Rocky's, as well as the local store marketing (LSM) budgets for
our other 2 national franchise brands to maximize ROI.
Menu Innovation & Product Launches: Serve as a key partner in menu
development for Rocky. Use customer insights and food trends to brainstorm new
menu items (LTOs, seasonal shakes, etc.) and build marketing campaigns centered
around our high-quality products.
New Restaurant Openings (NROs): Create and execute strategic local marketing
playbooks to build buzz and drive grand opening traffic for new restaurant openings.
Tech Stack Optimization: Leverage our Toast POS system and integrated digital
tools to analyze sales data, track customer behavior, and optimize promotional
campaigns.
Creative Direction & Content Creation: Oversee Rocky's visual identity,
messaging, and voice. Direct internal creative work for in-store signage, menus,
social media, email marketing, and digital platforms.
Agency Partnership: Serve as the primary point of contact for our outside
advertising agency, ensuring they have the creative assets and strategic direction
needed for effective media placement.
Local Influencers: Build and sustain collaborative relationships with local
influencers, celebrities, and key media personalities.
Omnichannel Growth: Optimize and market our digital revenue channels including
online ordering platforms and third-party delivery services.
Qualifications
Experience: 3–5 years of marketing or brand management experience, with a
preference for backgrounds in the restaurant, hospitality, or franchise industries.
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related
field (or equivalent practical experience).
Technical Skills: Some proficiency with restaurant technology is a plus but not
required.
Culinary Passion & Growth Mindset: A genuine love for the food industry and a
desire to translate a passion for fresh, high-quality ingredients into compelling
marketing stories. Energetic, self-motivated, and thrilled by the challenge of scaling
a regional brand.
Financial Acumen: Strong budgeting and data analysis skills; ability to balance
creative vision with business metrics (sales data, guest counts, and ROI).
Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Fargo, ND area, with the
ability to occasionally travel regionally to support existing restaurants and new store
openings.
