This position reports directly to and supports the Department of Medicine’s Administrator in support of the Chief of Medicine. Department liaison to Grady-based faculty, staff, and Service Chiefs, Grady Administration, and the Emory Associate Dean of Program Affairs and their staff. This position is assigned primary administrative and management support of Medicine divisions’ operations based on the Grady campus and works integrally with the Division Director, Service Chief, and Division Administrators with the purpose of providing superior service and management of our Grady Operations.
The Program Manager must be knowledgeable about physician practice management and revenue cycle; they must demonstrate the following skills: well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal effectively with all levels of personnel, both within and beyond the university; excellent written communication skills; time management and organizational skills; must demonstrate the ability to prioritize and accurately complete tasks independently and promptly; proficient in basic accounting and budget management, record maintenance, and report development; excellent technical skills (computers, MS office software particularly Excel and Word); excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills; conflict resolution and negotiating skills; professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
This position is the division interface with EMCF management and staff, and is responsible for management report generation and distribution, data review, interpretation and analysis, billing process and revenue cycle improvement, and billing and regulatory compliance. Interface with Grady Department of Medical Affairs, Grady Credentialing Office, and Emory Office of System Credentialing. Tracking and monitoring application status for initial appointments, reappointments, and resignations. Budget report generation and projections. Works closely with the Division Administrator and Service Chief regarding these budgets.
