Compensation DOE: Up to $35/hr.
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to support electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair within a foundry manufacturing environment in Rushville, IN. This is a hands-on, critical role for an industrial electrician who values safety, reliability, and continuous improvement while working closely with operations and maintenance teams.
What You’ll Do as an Electrician:
As an Electrician, you will install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with applicable electrical codes and OSHA standards. Your work will directly support production uptime, equipment reliability, and workplace safety.
Electrician Duties Include:
- Performing general electrical maintenance and advanced troubleshooting on industrial equipment
- Troubleshooting electrical breakdowns involving switches, fuses, limit switches, proximity switches, light curtains, motor contactors, power supplies, and three-phase systems
- Diagnosing motors to identify open circuits, shorts, and bearing failures
- Troubleshooting both A.C. and D.C. systems
- Wiring motor starters with overloads from scratch for voltages up to 480 VAC
- Installing and setting up push-button boxes for new or existing equipment
- Running conduit and pulling wire for equipment installations and upgrades
- Conducting preventive electrical inspections and documenting findings
- Using digital multimeters and other diagnostic tools
- Troubleshooting control voltage and PLC-related issues using RSLogix
- Maintaining daily activity reports and documentation
- Working closely with operations and management to prioritize and execute work
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Performing other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to obtain a Journeyman Electrician Card after job offer
- Strong working knowledge of NEC codes and industrial electrical safety standards
- Proven experience troubleshooting industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Ability to use a digital multimeter proficiently
- Experience in foundry or heavy industrial manufacturing environments preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work any shift and perform overtime, including weekends and holidays
