Crossroads Construction is seeking a dependable and hardworking Construction Helper 1 to support our industrial construction team in the Salt Lake City area. This role assists skilled trades in heavy industrial and utility projects, helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Responsibilities
- Prepare job sites by cleaning, organizing materials, and staging equipment
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to designated work areas
- Operate hand and power tools under supervision
- Assist with HDPE pipe installation and fabrication support
- Assist with structural concrete work, including forming, mixing, pouring, and finishing support
- Support underground utility installation and excavation activities
- Set up and dismantle temporary structures as needed
- Maintain and properly store tools and equipment
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous construction or manual labor experience preferred but not required
- Basic understanding of construction site safety and procedures
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license required
- Clean motor vehicle driving record required
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, including marijuana
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
