Job description:
Trailer World Alabama is seeking a Class A CDL Driver.
The CDL driver will be responsible for safely transporting various types of trailers and parts, adhering to traffic regulations, and maintaining vehicle compliance. Timely deliveries are essential, with regional runs with some overnight stays, but home on weekends.
Key Responsibilities
Transport Goods: Operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and box trucks, to deliver products to designated locations safely and efficiently.
Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
Route Planning: Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while considering traffic patterns and road conditions.
Cargo Handling: Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring that it is secured properly to
prevent damage during transit.
Documentation: Maintain accurate driving records such as hours, mileage, fuel,
and cargo details, ensuring compliance with the Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with customers during deliveries,
providing updates on delivery status and addressing any concerns.
Compliance: Stay informed and comply with federal, state, and local regulations governing commercial driving, including safety standards and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
Licensing: Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Experience: Previous experience in commercial driving is preferred, with a strong understanding of logistics and road safety regulations.
Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle unexpected situations, such as traffic delays or vehicle issues.

Pay: $0.55 - $0.63 per mile
