Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items with precision and care, adhering to food safety and handling standards.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities, including cash register operations, giving correct change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, food preparation stations, and equipment to uphold health standards.
- Assist in food preparation and serving when needed, supporting overall café operations during busy periods.
- Demonstrate effective time management to handle multiple tasks smoothly while maintaining a lively pace.
Requirements
- Weekend availability is a MUST!
- Availability to work the open shift 5:45-2, as well as 8-5 is a must.
- Previous barista experience or café experience is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation is a plus.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for retail sales transactions and cashiering duties.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and food industry standards.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to serving and food preparation.

Pay: $9.00 - $28.00 per hour
