Fleet Mechanic
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair various construction equipment including Front end loaders, backhoes, skid steers, dump trucks, trailers, various lawn maintenance equipment, snow removal equipment, etc.
Preventative maintenance of equipment, spare parts supply, materials and supplies management, etc.
Travel to companies off site locations as needed for maintenance and repair of equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures for gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, etc.
Work with Fleet Manager and production staff to schedule and execute maintenance and repairs of equipment
Emergency service as required
Qualifications:
Must provide own tools
Ability to perform welding on varying materials
Ability to perform light fabrication work on various types of equipment
Excellent communication skills
Technical training/education preferred
CDL Preferred but not necessary
Good oral and written communication skills
Benefits:
$20-$25 per hour depending on experience – Overtime is required as needed
