Mid-American Salt is a packaging, distribution, and logistics company that is currently looking for an experienced full time Production Associate Material Handler to join our team at our Toledo, Ohio bagging facility. MAS has a diversified product line that includes bulk road & water conditioning salt, bagged ice melt, cement and fertilizer. We are a rapidly growing company, but we are small enough to get to know every individual who works here. You are not just a number!
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with assembly line packaging equipment, production line work, weighing, bagging, and sealing of various containerized finished products
- Filling, sealing and stowing manual jugs
- Monitor robotic palletizing of finished products to ensure quality
- Prepare the finished product for loading/shipping
- Filling out production reports at the beginning and end of shift
- Keep your work area clean, and restock supplies needed for the next day's production requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- 2 years experience in a manufacturing and production setting required
- 1 year production line work experience required
- Ability to operate a forklift preferred. Will train the right candidate.
- Must be a hardworking, reliable, accountable, detail oriented team player
- Critical thinker willing to learn new skills and rotate through different positions
- Ability to perform repetitious, assembly line type work
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to work in cold and warmer conditions
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet for 8+ hours per day
- Seasonal overtime is likely and will be required
