The Pricing Data Analyst will play a key role in analyzing, optimizing, and maintaining pricing strategies across a diverse portfolio of automotive aftermarket products. This role combines data analytics, competitive research, and business insight to ensure pricing supports profitable growth, aligns with market conditions, and strengthens the company’s competitive position. A core emphasis is on SKU-level profitability, customer segment profitability, and leveraging 80/20 (Pareto) insights to prioritize efforts where the greatest financial impact exists. The analyst leads pricing audits, drives continuous improvement in pricing processes, and enables data-driven pricing decisions across the organization.
Pricing Analysis & Optimization
Perform elasticity analyses to understand customer sensitivity to price changes across different channels (WDs, jobbers, retailers, eCommerce).
Data Management & Reporting
Gather and clean large datasets from ERP, PIM, POS, inventory, and competitive pricing platforms.
Maintain accurate pricing databases, including list prices, customer pricing, promotional rates, and rebates.
Build recurring dashboards and KPIs to track margin erosion, category profitability, cost changes, and competitive position.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
Monitor aftermarket pricing trends, material cost changes, supply chain impacts, and catalog/fitment shifts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product Management, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Category Management to develop data-driven pricing decisions.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
5–7 years of pricing or data analytics experience, preferably in automotive aftermarket, manufacturing, distribution, or retail.
Understanding of cost structures (COGS, landed cost, freight, cores, tariffs).
