American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Coronary Care Unit (CCU/ICU) position in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care ICU experience and current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications.

Work in a 26-bed Coronary Care Unit (CCU) within a large acute care hospital setting
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2

Equipment used includes balloon pumps, CRRT, and hypothermia therapy
-
Procedures include heart catheterizations, cardioversion, central line management, and medication drips
-
EMR system is Meditech; prior experience preferred
-
Night shift schedule: 7P–7A
-
13-week travel contract

Active KS RN license or compact RN license required

Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment)

Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital ICU experience required

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Prior Meditech experience is preferred

Prior travel experience in large facility ICU units is preferred

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible

Unit staffing includes 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech per shift
