Job Summary:
Part Time flexible schedule shift weekdays and every other weekend. Our Nurses play a pivotal role in coordinating resident care and ensuring the smooth operation of our community and caregiving during your shift. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, you will oversee and delegate tasks to care staff, conduct medication administration, and act as a team leader, fostering a supportive and efficient work environment. Your responsibilities include maintaining resident health records, responding to emergencies, and participating in resident-centered activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate resident care and ensure effective shift coverage
- Supervise the delivery of personal care to residents, implementing service plans
- Act as a team leader, coaching care staff on best practices
- Administer medications according to physician orders and maintain accurate documentation
- Conduct shift change reports and maintain security of medication supplies
- Respond promptly and calmly to emergencies, ensuring timely assistance
- Monitor resident health charts, report significant changes to physicians and families
- Keep the Director of Nursing and Executive Director informed of any resident health changes or shift-related issues
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, licensed as an LPN in the state of employment
- Minimum of two years nursing experience, preferably in Assisted Living or Memory Care
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending and pushing medication carts
- Proficiency in English language (reading, writing, speaking)
- Current BLS Certification preferred; LVN certification a plus
- Experience in memory care highly desired
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development in elderly care
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
