The Senior Compliance Coordinator is responsible for executing day-to-day compliance activities for assigned markets. This role is hybrid with some field work to ensures properties meet regulatory requirements and that documentation, licensing, and renewals are completed accurately and on time. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role critical to maintaining regulatory standing.
Location Requirement: Candidates must reside within the Lake Tahoe/Truckee market or within a 50-mile radius, including Placer County. This role requires strong familiarity with the local market, community, and operational landscape, as well as the ability to provide occasional in-person support and field compliance assistance as business needs require.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply for city and county licenses and permits
- Track renewals, deadlines, and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation and systems
- Research and document local regulations and ordinances
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations and Market teams to resolve compliance gaps
- Support audits, inspections, and regulatory inquiries
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing program performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing process optimizations
- Remain current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the role
- Contribute to a collaborative work environment that promotes open communication, innovation, and employee engagement
- Flag compliance risks and escalate issues appropriately
- Assist with onboarding new properties and markets
- Support larger compliance initiatives during peak periods
- Other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in hospitality, vacation rental or similar industry
- Basic understanding of permitting and regulations
- Experience in filling out numerous applications a day
- Ability to adapt quickly to change and deliver results in highly ambiguous environments
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills
- 3–5+ years of compliance, regulatory, or administrative experience
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven work
- Comfortable working across systems and documentation

- Tech-savvy with experience using various digital systems and applications; comfortable using mobile apps, tablets, and various software systems.
