POSITION: Electrician
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations
REQUIREMENTS: Completion of apprentice or vocational program or an equivalent combination of training and experience; minimum 5 to 10 years experience in commercial electrical maintenance and construction; and ability to climb ladders and high lifts, operate all power tools, test equipment, and lift to 50 lbs.; up to 100 lbs with assistance. Possess valid City of Pittsburgh Electricians License and have a thorough knowledge of all required codes and regulations.
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Perform all electrical functions, telecommunication and computer wiring, installation, and maintenance duties as required.
DUTIES:

Perform maintenance and installation of new electrical systems and equipment.

Responsible for the telecommunications systems to include installation and repair.

Respond to student and staff work orders for any electrical or telecommunications equipment failure, malfunction, or safety hazard.

Perform installation and relocation as it pertains to in-house projects.
- Troubleshoot all electrical systems.

Perform basic Life safety fire panel operations.
- Perform preventive maintenance duties as assigned.

Respond to all University emergencies.

Assist other trades as required, including carpentry, maintenance, and engineering.

Perform skilled tasks with little or no supervision.

Perform other duties as required.
