Overview
Casa Pro is seeking a driven and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations and help lead the front-end customer experience at our Stockton location. The Assistant Store Manager plays a key role in ensuring the sales floor consistently delivers on Casa Pro’s “Big 3” standards: Excellent Customer Service, In Stock, and Ready to Shop.
This role partners closely with the Store Manager to coach sales associates, drive sales performance, maintain showroom standards, and ensure customers receive exceptional service from the moment they walk in.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in home improvement retail, building materials, flooring, cabinets, or related industries, along with a passion for customer service, team leadership, and consultative selling.
Responsibilities
Customer Experience & Service Leadership
- Model and coach the S.H.I.N.E. service standard: Seek the customer, Honor their time, Introduce yourself, Navigate needs, and Exceed expectations
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by promptly addressing customer concerns and after-sales needs
- Support the Store Manager in delivering a welcoming and professional showroom experience
Sales Leadership & Team Development
- Assist in coaching associates on consultative selling for contractors, DIY customers, and DIFM (Do-It-For-Me) clients
- Monitor daily sales KPIs and support team performance through coaching and feedback
- Train and onboard new associates on Casa Pro’s service standards, product knowledge, and visual merchandising expectations
- Lead daily floor walks to ensure service consistency and sales readiness
Showroom & Merchandising Standards
- Ensure the showroom is clean, organized, signed, and fully stocked at all times
- Support showroom layout optimization and visual merchandising to enhance the customer shopping experience
- Ensure product displays reflect current trends in home improvement, flooring, cabinetry, and remodeling materials
Operational Support
- Assist with scheduling coverage based on peak traffic hours and staffing needs
- Work closely with the Warehouse Team to coordinate product flow, customer pickups, and delivery scheduling
- Support inventory management efforts by monitoring stock levels and identifying fast-moving or low inventory items
Financial & Business Awareness
- Assist in monitoring store performance metrics and contribute to strategies that improve store profitability
- Use sales data and market trends to support inventory decisions and sales planning
Customer Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with contractors, installers, and homeowners
- Provide accurate product recommendations and maintain strong after-sales support to encourage repeat business and referrals
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of retail or home improvement sales experience
- Experience in home improvement, building materials, flooring, cabinets, doors, or related retail sectors preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
- Ability to coach and motivate sales associates to achieve performance goals
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and sales management systems
- Basic financial awareness including sales analysis and budget considerations
- Ability to read floor plans and understand basic remodeling concepts, proficient in 2020 Design software (preferred)
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
