Groundhog Coffee Co. is looking for a dependable, thoughtful, and adaptable individual to join our team.
This role is optimal for someone who understands and appreciates the intricacies of hospitality and service. Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys moving with purpose, takes pride in cleanliness and presentation, strives to leave things better than they found them, communicates well with others, and genuinely enjoys hospitality, food, and coffee culture.
We’re a fast-paced independent coffee shop that values quality, initiative, warmth, and attention to detail. We’re looking for someone who can confidently handle kitchen flow with minimal assistance throughout the day while contributing positively to the overall atmosphere of the shop.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and assembling food orders accurately and efficiently
- Following house recipes and prep standards consistently
- Completing prep tasks during shift overlap and slower periods
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and presentable kitchen and bar workspace
- Practicing strong personal hygiene and food safety habits
- Communicating clearly with baristas and kitchen staff during service
- Assisting customers at the register and helping guide the flow of the café
- Greeting customers warmly and contributing to a welcoming environment
- Restocking, cleaning, and helping maintain overall shop rhythm throughout the shift

Experience in food service, cafés, or kitchens is strongly preferred, but mindset and work ethic matter just as much. ServSafe Certification is a bonus.
Weekend availability is strongly preferred.
