Mountain Valley Physical Therapy is hiring up to two full-time Physical Therapist Assistants to join our outpatient team in Galax and Independence, Virginia.
The position may be based primarily in Galax, primarily in Independence, or shared between both clinics depending on the candidate’s preference and the needs of the practice.
Mountain Valley is an independent, locally owned practice where PTAs are trusted members of the clinical team. You will work closely with experienced Physical Therapists, build meaningful relationships with patients, and play an important role in helping people regain mobility, confidence, and independence.
Our clinicians treat a varied outpatient population that includes orthopedic and postoperative rehabilitation, balance and vestibular conditions, gait and mobility limitations, sports and work-related injuries, and acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
We are looking for a PTA who is dependable, communicates well, takes pride in patient care, and wants to grow as part of a supportive team.

Responsibilities
- Provide treatment according to plans of care established by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Progress exercises and treatment activities appropriately within the established plan of care
- Monitor patient response and communicate relevant findings to the supervising PT
- Educate patients regarding exercises, home programs, safety, and recovery expectations
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Support patient participation and progress toward functional goals
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional treatment environment
- Contribute to a positive, patient-centered clinic culture
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current Virginia PTA license or eligibility for Virginia licensure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable, adaptable, and team oriented
- Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care
- Ability to manage an outpatient caseload effectively
Outpatient experience is preferred but not required. Experienced PTAs and new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
