We are looking for a Maintenance/Janitorial Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, light electrical and plumbing, shampooing of carpets, Taking out Trash upkeep of parking lot and exterior appearance, etc. A Maintenance/Janitorial Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the building and common areas in the best possible condition. While keeping the rooms in top rentable condition.
Responsibilities
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
- Perform maintenance of rooms, restoring them to like new condition.
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Keeping up on paperwork required to document work done.
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. curb appeal) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
Skills
- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength
- Someone to help our guests! A helping hand to our staff and to our guests to maintain our property
- Someone with an aptitude for fixing and problem-solving using blueprints, instruction manuals, and necessary tools.
- Feels confident troubleshooting issues with electricity, plumbing and HVAC
