We’re hiring an Earthwork Superintendent to lead field operations on infrastructure projects across the Mid-Atlantic region, including landfills, airports, and site development. This position may require weekly travel in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Compensation and benefits:
Compensation: $1,900+/week depending on experience

What you’ll do:

Provide overall on-site administrative and technical management including scheduling, coordination, and supervision of all project activities

Supervise construction to ensure work is completed per design, budget, and schedule, interfacing with clients, inspectors, and governmental officials

Lead and reinforce a culture of safety; conduct weekly safety training and provide coaching to foremen and crews

Plan project resource needs one week to three months in advance and ensure crews have the right equipment at the right time

Interpret plans and specs for foremen and crews; maintain contract documents and record drawings

Drive continuous production improvement by tracking actuals vs. expectations and keeping the project team informed

Manage subcontractors and coordinate work across crews, departments, and other contractors

Conduct and document quality control inspections; investigate and document incidents

Identify and develop field talent; evaluate and mentor potential successors
What we’re looking for:

3+ years of experience supervising large earthwork and/or underground utility crews as a Superintendent

Thorough knowledge of earthwork construction equipment, methods, cost control, and scheduling

OSHA 30-hour training

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to travel Monday–Friday; home on weekends
