American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring 2+ years of cardiovascular/cardiothoracic surgery experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a hospital setting
-
Performs open heart, open vascular, and endovascular surgical procedures
-
Maintains a 1:1 patient ratio

PM shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM

On-call responsibilities required

Float or weekend shifts only required if called in

Royal blue scrubs required

Active TX or compact RN license required

Current BLS certification (AHA only) required

Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required, including open heart, open vascular, and endovascular surgery

Flu shot required with no exemptions granted

Coordinates patient care delivery using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care

Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient patient transitions through the surgical experience

Delegates tasks to healthcare personnel based on patient condition and staff competencies
-
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the travel position
