Ensure that AWANA directors and volunteers have what they need for their areas of service.
Examples include supplies for crafts, games, and teaching materials.
Check classrooms/spaces and set up for check-in and opening ceremony each week.
Lead AWANA huddles.
Roam during AWANA and check on all classes/programming.
Direct and assist volunteers to clean and reset AWANA spaces after Wednesday
programming.
Provide ongoing support and encouragement to AWANA leaders, children, and families.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Kids Ministry or Family Pastor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of children's ministry and a passion for discipling children
Strong organizational, administrative, communication, and time-management skills
Ability to recruit, train, coordinate, encourage, and equip volunteers
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, events, schedules, and deadlines
Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping
Ability to work independently and as part of a ministry team
Ability to anticipate needs, solve problems, and take initiative
Ability to communicate eSectively with children, parents, volunteers, and church staS
Proficiency with basic church scheduling, communication, and record-keeping systems
